I've downloaded from iTunes ''What a wonderful world', ''I will be with you (where the lost ones go)'', ''Free'', ''The smile'', ''Con te partirò (time to say goodbye'' and the new single ''Running''... I love these songs and think that Sarah is very talented. She has a really good voice.

I wouldn't say, I'm a fan of Sarah Brightman, and I usually don't like covers, but I really like her song "So many things" which is her version of "Women of Ireland" / "Mna na h-Eireann". But I also like the Gaelic version by Kate Bush :)

As for Mediaeval Babes... I think, one has to be in this special mood to like their music. I like some of their songs and melodies, but I know what you mean, Nigel  I like "Aria" which is one of their songs remixed by Delerium. You can find it on youtube.

The original version of Aria is called All Turns To Yesterday...

There's a song I want to share... ;)
It's called Through Your Eyes from a band called Lunik... The song is really wonderful, and beautiful, as wel as the lyrics!

I don´t like covers too. Honestly Sarah Brightman is the only one who mkaes covers and I can listen to it. I love her versions even more than originals (except the cover of My heart will go on from Celine Dion).

Yeah, this song is impossible to cover... You know, also the Celine Dion's version is a demo (the first trial in a recording session), so she never tried to re-sing it in studio

I got her dvds few weeks ago anf I canot believe how great she is! She sings (can sing really everything), she dances there, she sings while she is "flying" above the podium....very multitalnetated person!
Looking forward to her new album too :)

I discovered the band Battles a while ago. If you like strange music then you should have a listen :). They sound pretty experimental, I like the way they use their instruments though.:

I have listened again yesterday the album The Sailor not the Sea from Ozark Henry and I realized that it's a really good one, maybe his best. Don't be afraid to discover it!
The real goal should be to permanently progress, to be better than yourself rather than being better than others (Albert Jacquard).

she is a really great singer! with a lovely voice and beautiful lyrics.
And I have a life concert CD of hers, and she also has a beautiful voice in real life. You really should check her out!

Thanks for the links, Lothlorien! :) I have heard of Sarah McLachlan here and there, but haven't listened much of her music as yet. The only song I have known and absolutely loooved is this one:

I love you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_jCNchJSyI

As for other artists, I have been listening quite a lot of The Carpenters these days. You will probably be familiar with

Close to you
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKh86kOoiWQ

but I have discovered many other nice songs, for example:

Crystal Lullaby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Mvt6AgRG5s
She's guarded by a brave tin soldier
Sitting on her shoulder

:) :) :)

Aurora
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWVy4B4XnvE

We've only just begun
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5QwOD5OP7o

and many more... I don't know which ones to choose to post here, actually :)

They used a lot of harmonies and it sounds just fantastic to me :D
