If anyone has seen the old 'visit scotland' ads (NOT the new ones) and liked the gorgeous violin music going on there, I found out what it is!! i've been wondering for like a year now and I discovered yesterday that it's a tune called 'North' by Paul Mounsey. i dont know any of his other work, but this toon is booooootiful :mrgreen:

Oh and another one- the tescos add with the girl on the white horse? The music is 'Country Mile' by camera obscura. Another bootiful toon.

I'd like to recommend two Dutch bands I recently started listening to pretty much =) They're: A Balladeer and Racoon. I especially like A Balladeer a lot. Their music and lyrics are sooo beautiful! With the piano and all and they worked together with another dutch band, called Blof, they're pretty big. You should check the site out from A Balladeer =):

Just am enjoying "Stella Mirus II" album by a Japanese group Stella Mirus, which features Eri Sugai on lead vocals. As a huge Enya fan I have always enjoyed Eri Sugai's music, and this is also worth for getting as well! Splendid music, though I am afraid that it might be a bit challenging to obtain the album as it is released only in Japan...

I'm not too sure if any of you will like this, but I thought I'd put a good word in for my buddy simon who's the pianist for belfast's latest 'pretty boy rocker' band, as the woman in this clip calls them :lol:

It's nothing like moya at all but quite a few of you have met simon at assorted moya concerts so i thought it might tickle you to see him being a rock star :lol:

I haven't been on in absolute ages, so I'm a bit out of date ... but it just dawned on me that I haven't seen Show of Hands recommended here yet. They're an English folk group actually, and they aren't too popular yet, but the music is good and the lyrics are amazing, really deep. Hope everyone's doing well ... and Eilidh says Hi. She doesn't have access to the internet at the moment.

Mediaeval Baebes, im not recommending them. Infact i was recommended them in this thread by someone, i can't remember who. Anyway im struggling to like thier music, and i have listened to four of thier albums? Im not sure what many of you think of them, but i have to say i probably won't be listening to them from now on. Sorry but they are not for me....

I only know four tracks by the medieavel baebes, the only one I really like is mark hur var skugga, but the others... the don't even grow on me.. So that's quiet that same as for you, I think, Nigel.

Sissel is one of my favourite singers too. Her voice is really beautiful.
I would like you recomend Sarah Brightman. She is on my pot list. Hope you will like her

She is multitalentated person - singer, actor, piano player, dancer....... Her music is very various. She can make operas, some pop music and much much more... I would say - she has Sarah B. style
