modified quotations game

Postby nessieq » Sat Mar 31, 2007 9:00 pm

hey guys,
following a daft conversation on MSN I have invented a new game. The concept is thus: Someone states a word, any word at all, although it'd be funny if we could think of brennan-related ones to start off with. Then, after that, people post quotations with that word replacing one or more of the original words.

The first word is 'lemon' (I wonder why?)

so, for example, you could have:

'Is this a lemon I see before me?'
'To Lemon or not to lemon'

Get the idea? 'Lemon' is just the first word, after we run out of steam with it, then someone else can post a new one, a bit like the caption competition.

It mightn't work, but i thought it had the potential to be funny!
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

So, Grania?

I think it's 'see how much we can get out of one' for a while - let's keep going with lemon, there are so many possibilities

Three for the Elven Kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf Lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for the Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne
in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

One lemon to rule them all
One lemon to find them
One lemon to bring the all
and in the darkness bind them
in the land of Mordor where the shadows lie.

Lemons to lemons, dust to dust.
