I voted "Harpsong" too, but for me it is also one song with Two Horizons...but then I also love Bright Star and Ancient Town (there's a bit of Bright Star in Ancient Town too) and Sailing Away, and lastly Change My World. That song ended up being one of my favs because it lifted my spirits when I wasn't feeling that great. It gave me hope and faith in myself.

But I sooo love Harpsong's melody - it's Moya's finest harp melody for me.

Love,

by listening the album again and again, I find that Show Me is a really great song; its rythm is not overloaded with drums, and the strings give it a good density, it gives a kind of mattress to Moya's voice...
Its synth parts are discrete but gives more impact to the rythm, and the harp is flowing from the arrangement to take part of the melody after the second chorus...
This song is really great!!! :D

With Tara as my absolute favourite, of course!

I also find that there is no long break in this album, evry song flows from the previous, as a new part of the story Moya tolds us... Every melody, every sound, everything is logical in this album... That's magical !!!

This wasn't a hard choice, but it was hard (sorry, that doesn't make sense, does it?)

I also voted Tara, but for certain reasons haven't been able to listen to the song for a few months now ........

I do like listening to Is it Now? and Falling (they run into one track) folllowed by Tara. Somehow, those two tracks set the scene for Tara.

Just re-reading some of the posts in this thread and I want to pick up on what Anya Prynn said regarding it being a tough decision and a dislike for choosing one song on an album. For me, many albums have pretty much all good tracks save for one or two, and that's the case with TH.

But Tara is my overall favourite on this album :D

I agree- i've often thought that if i could play just one song to someone to convince them of how good moya's music is, it would be falling- but then i always end up saying 'oh but you'd have to listen to is it now before hand.. and then there's such a good link into tara..
I guess i'd have to play them the whole album

What a tough choice it is  Still, I vote for Tara. It makes me sway and dance around my room every time I hear it :) I also love listening to Is it now? It's so beautiful and relaxing. I like to lie down, close my eyes and float away with this song :) But I think that the whole album is a masterpiece :)

I chose Show Me. It's my favourite. I remember when I first got the CD and I listened to it, I was like amazed. I loved the song instantly. :)

Hmm, this is really difficult, especially since to me the whole album is one giant beautiful song. I always have the feeling that the songs don't really work that well on their own. They're all beautiful, but the real beauty and scale of it only comes through if you listen to the entire album.
Still, I chose Ancient Town because I really like the image it evokes in my head. I always see an ancient town already crumbling and empty, yet beautiful and still proud, even in decay. I always thought that ruins have something poetic.
If it had been on the list, I might have chosen Sailing Away, though.
