Right everyone, I hate to see a decent topic die around here, so lets have refreshing session.

OK, the idea is that we run this more as a narrative, with someone posting a paragraph or two of story, and the next person following on from that in the same way. It should let us get a bit further with the action

OK, so let's start again

Grania stood with the wind in her hair on the deck of The Shakey Lemon. She was charting a voyage soon, from her home in County Mayo up to Glasgow, but she needed to leave soon, and she only had half a crew, and the ship also needed supplying.
It was getting late, if they didn't get a crew soon they would never be able to depart. Just as she was beginning to worry that the voyage would never take place, and all her preparations had been in vain, Grania saw a familiar shape walking towards the ship from the dockside....

"This be no pancake boat!" a familiar accent cried from the darkness beneath.
"It has to be- we've followed the directions perfectly! I live in the middle of nowhere, for goodness sakes, I know how to map read!" cried another.
G rolled her eyes-
"NESS! Andy!- get your pirate butts up here and give me a hand loading lemons" she yelled at the two whippersnappers squabbling on the dock below.

Another foraying group turned up, one cradling a precious object.

G frowned at it for a full minute. It was a half-painted model car."Isn't this the 'Feeble Excuse'"? she asked Ness.

"Certainly not, this be an essential piece of equipment." Andy grinned.

Grania rolled her eyes at him, and turned back to nessie
"I don't suppose you could get something sorted out with this lot could you?" she asked, "Or at least explain to me what this little car is all about?" :|

Turlough finally stepped forward, cheekily suppressing a grin, and said, "Right, when Moya was completely terrified about meeting her future in-laws, she took and put together this little car to calm her nerves. She was still painting it when Tim said they had to go! It's in the Book."

And suddenly a shadow falls over them, and they here a scary scream!
A splash of water goes over them, and they hear someone say, coughing too; "Sorry, they wind blew me away"
It was Sailor Methica, who jumped out of a plane with a parachute...
They we´re not mad at him, they thought it was funny and helped him on shore...
The minute he stood there they all pushed him as one back into the water...
Methica: "I should have seen that coming!"

"So you should! Tumblin' in like that to scare us all half to death!" Grania how now taken on the persona of her alter-ego, and was desperately trying to get everyone organised. The crew was now almost big enough, and she thought it was high time they set sail.

The ship's canvas tumbled down from the masts, the lines attaching it to the shore were cut, and they were away, sailing north.
"Where are we headed for?" nessie asked, Grania smiled at her.
"I think you can guess...I've got a notion away." she replied, and winked. Nessie grinned broadly. :D

Parrot eadgyth came fluttering on deck. After having taken another trip to the lemon cookie storage over Christmas, she had eaten so much that she was now having trouble keeping herself in the air and had in addition to that not even realized that the ship had set sail again. She was delighted at the ship's new destination and settled herself on the lookout to not miss the arrival like she had missed leaving port.

They were barely two minutes out into the ocean, their sails having filled with Irish air only seconds before, when the first drops of rain began to fall.

"Typical," someone grumbled.
"My model car will get all wet!," cried Andy.
"No, this is wonderful," came a voice from behind them all. Ancient_Snowfall crawled out from under a pile of rope at the edge of the deck. "It's a perfect example of Irish weather?"
"Isn't all the weather here Irish weather?" someone asked. "Where did you come from, anyway?"
"It got stuck. See, ropes are not good things to get tangled in," A_S said. "I was here the whole time. And I even remembered my SLT." She pulled a yellow object from her pocket and shook it. The sound was echoed by some light thunder, still miles off.

"By the way," A_S said, "Grania, did you just say you didn't know EXACTLY where we were going? You have a NOTION? I thought you were the captain... Oh please don't let us wind up half way across the Atlantic..."

"Bracing Irish weather!" Grania laughed, "I have a friend with a theory that all Irish are amphibious"

They all laughed, and turned their attention to their course, setting out for Glasgow.
For a long time they travelled with a favouring wind. Many of the crew went below to enjoy Lemonade and lemon biscuits, but after a while they went up for some air. Grania was still at the wheel, smiling in a satisfied manner.

"Hang on a second..." Nessie said slowly, "I recognise that mountain..isn't it...."
Grania grinned at her cheerily and nodded

When Nessie looked at Grania, and seeing her nod see opened her eyes shockingly. with her eyes completly open she screamed all the crew on deck!
"ALL CREW ON DECK!!" she yelled...
Andy runned up to the deck, asking "What´s up ness??"
Nessie looked at the mountain, pointing towards it,,
Andy looked,, and screamed thje rest of the crew, because he was the only one that went up to deck.
One by one they came up, Sandy, Methica, Lizzy, and so many more who still made it to their ship.
Grania thought to be funny and said, "okay people, on three"
Everyone nodded.
"1...2...3"
