Let's organise a meeting!

Postby mise » Tue Sep 14, 2004 8:33 pm

Well I have been talking to quite some people on the forum, who have all expressed a wish to go to Gaoth Dobhair next summer. So why don't we make this wish come true and all meet up and invade Donegal.

Maybe Máire you could let your dream come true too and have this concert looking out on the Islands with fans, friends and family :D

WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK?????

I was planning to go on a holiday to Ireland next year anyway, so that would make it even better! :)

We would need a place big enough to hold many many Brennan fans or a big field and a lot of tents! :D :)

LOL,
as one of those fans mise mentioned, i'd be more than happy to come, but it might be a bit difficult because of organisation and stuff. also, i can hardly imagine my parents jumping at the though. i can see the conversation now...
"so, mum, i'm going to a field in gweedore by myself to meet a whole load of people i ment on the internet :D "
"you're WHAT!"
i don't mean any offense to you guys, but we'll have to see, i don't know..
it's a great idea though, and i'd LOVE to meet you lot.
i suppose my family could go up there some weekend so my dad could come with me to see you lot...
fingers crossed.

Ah... but I don't know... the last thing a group of fans heading for Donegal needs is a crazy Namibian woman.

Hmm... sounds familiar... although my mam and dad were cool the first time I met noodle, my sister freaked "HE COULD BE A 50-ODD YEAR OLD SERIAL KILLER!!!" - Far from true, he may be an utter KaTe Bush freak, but that's hardly a criminal offense now is it? Lol.

I've never met anyone off the net that was a wierdo potential murderer, but at least your parents have their hearts in the right place.

My mum likes one of my internet friends very much. SHE wants me to meet him and I think she wouldn't even mind if I married him! She talks about him as if he was her son-in-law... I guess she is just joking :?

What about if i went too, then it wouldn't just be internet friends, it would be someone you already know!

Then again, your daddy would probably kill me at the mere thought of stealing his daughter away to some random place. ^^ So yeah, maybe not. lol.

Ooh... maybe just maybe. But it's probably a bit late now for me to start saving up for such a trip - though I was planning to visit the Faroe Islands in December next year... simply because I have my leave then. Perhaps Ireland can be next on the list for the following year depending on how things go - but it'd feel a little intrusive to just go barging into Donegal & Leo's as a group to me. But I'd love to hear all about it!
