Hi everyone,

I am interested in who your favorite related artist is.

My all-time favourite artist is Enya, I don't know Eden's bridge (whatever it is..) and I think both Clannad and Iona make WONDERFUL music :)

All of the above. Also Blackmore's Night, Capercaillie, and Steeleye Span.

Of course it's Clannad, there's no doubt about that. Iona and Eden's bridge are okay but it doesn't sound like Clannad, the voices of the singers and the lyrics are totally different. Clannad ia always relaxing. Iona also make
a lot of noise, but thats my opinion.

I voted Clannad...

Postby gregoing » Wed Sep 17, 2003 5:38 pm

Hi, everyone. First, for the record, let me say I enjoy music from each of the above artists... all except that one called "other" and I can't seem to find out who that is. Out of all those artists, though, I like music from Enya and Clannad the most. But I voted for Clannad because I like their music slightly more than Enya's.

P.S. - I hope you didn't believe that whole "other" thing...

My favourite is Enya, hence I voted for her.
However, Moya's music comes closest to Clannad's ofcourse, and I think also Karen Matheson (of Capercaillie), Loreena McKennitt and Miriam Stockley are great!

Ciao!

Voted for Enya. Not sure about Clannad because I haven't really listened to my Clannad albums much yet.

Hi, everyone. Dennisa, I'm sorry if I got you a little annoyed... I was just kidding when I said I didn't know who other was.

Too many favourites!

Postby cantilena91 » Fri Sep 19, 2003 12:55 pm

I also voted for Enya, but I like e.g. Adiemus, Miriam Stockley, Loreena McKennitt, Anúna, Secret Garden, Eri Sugai, Eri Kawai, and many more singers & groups! Not forgetting Clannad... Hard to choose a favourite from over 500 CDs I have!!

Altan is another band that will satisfy most Moya fans.

True, especially if you are a fan of Clannad's music from the 70s. If so, you would probably also like, Lunasa, Steeleye Span, the Bothy Band, or Planxty.

If you liked Clannad in the 80s, you would go for Blackmore's Night or Loreena McKennitt.

If you liked Clannad in the 90s, Mary Black or Sissel should fit the bill.

Personally, I liked Clannad in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, so I'll take all of the above!

Hey Jim,would you like Moya to go back to her old band, maybe sometime later. Why did they split ? I really believe they haven't reach their potential. Especially now when she is awesome as ever. Probably later I hope but now I will enjoy her new style, although I miss her old style which is more powerful and a little bit scary.Thank you for your suggestions with other artist .I definitely can't get enough music similar to Moya's .
