Postby Eternal_Tears_of_Sorrow » Sat Jun 11, 2005 7:04 pm

hey there,
maybe there is a topic like this ( if it already exists, sorry, i didn't see it) but i thought, let's make a topic that is the opposite of 'The happy hill' since i'm dissapointed at the moment :( because i was really really excited to go to a festival next saturday and see the band Arch Enemy live.
But now they cancelled that show and they are NOT coming to Fields Or rock! So tell me why you are sad or dissapointed at the moment :/

Ha-ha you must have been reading my mind!!!! I nearly started a Topic called 'The Vexed Valley' the other day, after an incredibly frustrating morning trying to get from A to B on the London Underground. Due to major delays to get from A to B I virtually had to go A,B,C,D,E..etc you get the idea anyway!

Sorry to hear about your cancelled show :( I can just imagine how I'd feel if Clannad decided to cancel their concert in July!

You've got my deepest symathies there, Jackie. Plus you no doubt got to pay an exorbitant amount of money for the privilege :(

A couple of years ago, I used the Tube to go to central London and get a Chinese visa. I'm not a regular Tube user, and I was appalled by the whole thing. To think that people use this each and every day .... the mind boggles! A broken-down train meant less regular service at the morning crush hour, with the resultant transport conditions being worse than that you'd expect for sardines.

When it works well, it's OK. But when it doesn't, it's major aggro.

Ha-ha, yes this was one huffing and puffing annoyed sardine  and they want to hold the Olympic Games here!!!....it would be sooo embarrassing with our useless, overpriced, antiquated transport systems! Hey, before I even got as far as the tube, the main line train I was using to get to London broke down and we had to change trains!

Reading my mind too! Freaky.

I just feel very overwhelmed right now and a lot of things have happened. My sister pretty much rejected her entire family to be with this guy who is so mean to her. He treats her like she's stupid and he's incredibly possessive. So now she's turned on us and I was supposed to move in with her, but she's being weird about it. And if I can't, I don't have a place to live because my parents are living with someone who I can't live with and I'm just... my boyfriend is getting treated so badly by people right now because of how he defended me from people being mean to me. I thankfully have such an awesome job working as an Equine Specialist with Stateline Tack and PetsMart and I make good money so that in the next few months I can get my own apartment and I am saving up for a horse now.

I am reading this amazing book called The Tale of Three Kings about David, Absalom and Saul and I know many people on here aren't religious, but I must say this book is so against "popular Christianity" and I love it so much. It's the only thing helping and I love my new church.

Thanks, my boyfriend is a beautiful person. I absolutely adore him.

It's actually a philosophical parable, pure philosophy partially based from historical figures mentioned in the Bible. ;) Remember, the first philosophers were followers of God (I think most people like to forget that) plus Sophocles, etc. :D

I may have to move to the city... I don't like cities. I don't want to move out on my own just yet... I don't like our capital. Too much crime and traffic.

but it looks like I'll have to - right after my Ireland trip. :|

i don't like to live in cities either. and as i am swiss, i dislike already places which americans would call villages...
but hopefully you can live just outside of the city and go just to work or whatever everyday.

I much prefer the country as well, coming from a small village originally having a population of no more than a few thousand.

But now I'm living in a more medium-sized town. London is far too big and anonymous for me, I much rather the countryside and seaside to the big city.

What irritates me is those people who think I'm "boring" because I've never been into the "city life" - well, I've never been one for the overloud music scene, the all-night nightclubs, the traffic, noise, and pollution. I'd rather wake up in the morning to birds twittering away than someone's stupid car alarm .... :)

Talking of which, I started a thread on another forum called 101 Uses for a Car Alarm - and some of the suggestions that others came up with were hilarious. Unfortunately, we never got to 101.

But this is called The Unhappy Hill ... have I really got to find something I'm unhappy about? OK - the weather. After a hot and sunny week it's now about to change to cold and wet. Just in time for the weekend. How pants.
