Voices and Harps passes through Boston

Postby Turlough » Mon Mar 12, 2012 5:10 pm

Saturday Moya came to East Boston on her Voices and Harps tour with Cormac and Sinead. Cormac can provide so much of the music single-handedly that even that trio can sound like Clannad. I heard them yesterday, when they performed at a church in the quiet town of Lancaster, benefitting the old church building.

Hope you enjoyed it Turlough - did Cormac play 'Carolan's Concerto'? He's an amazing harp player, I once heard him play an arrangement of 'Alasdair MacColla', just himself with Moya singing, and it sounded like the entire band playing :D That's one I will never forget!

Yes, G, Cormac played 'O'Carolan's Concerto'. He raises "both hands together" to an altogether new level, doesn't he!
