In Solidarity with Japan

Postby Dab051176 » Wed May 04, 2011 9:09 pm

Hi all,

I've posted this here, because it involves T with the Maggies....that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it!

I've just been alerted to this: http://www.rte.ie/ten/2011/0429/trad.html

It looks terrific, and better still, it's being streamed online! :D All you need to bear in mind is that the time given in that article is UK/Irish time, presumably, so you'll need to do the maths accordingly.

Folks in the Baile Atha Cliath area, if you go to the Button Factory (and I know it's quite short notice), don't forget to tell us what the gig was like "in the flesh", so to speak!

I wish I had a decent internet connection! Sounds like that will really be something to see!...lucky those who get to go in person!

For anyone who missed it (or anyone who wants to see it again!), this gig is being repeated on livetrad.com this Friday (20th May). It must be "looped", as it's listed as being shown between 2pm & 10pm UK/Ireland time.

For those who specifically want to see T with the Maggies - they were the first act in the second half - about 90 minutes or so into the concert.

Enjoy!

EDIT: I've just noticed Ed had already posted about this. Apologies, but I guess a reminder occasionally doesn't hurt!

Some of the performances of the gig are now on the LiveTrad channel on YouTube (I thought it would make more sense to post the link here, rather than the YouTube videos thread, though!)

As I assume most people around here will be looking for it, here's the link to T with the Maggies, singing Ceol na Phobaire:

Don't forget there are also clips from the Altan and Dervish sets on the same channel, too if you want to see those again

Enjoy!
