The King Arthur Complete Score. I already had the Original soundtrack and the Expanded Score but I didn't know about the Complete score til last night! One of my favorite movies and soundtracks!

I also recently purchased the Chicane Saltwater single at a used music store for $.95. I have been wanting it for so long and it was such a great price.

It's amazing how many versions can be found of particular songs, usually the big hits. :D

My most recent purchase is The Wind That Shakes The Barley by Loreena McKennitt,a fantastic CD fulll of classics.

The title song is my favourite,it relates to the 1798 rising, but can also
easily connect to later events in the history of Ireland.

The Wind That Shakes The Barley (Robert Dwyer Joyce)

I sat within the valley green
I sat me with my true love
My sad heart strove the two between
The old love and the new love
The old for her, the new that made me
Think on Ireland dearly
While soft the wind blew down the glen
And shook the golden barley

'Twas hard the woeful words to frame
To break the ties that bound us
But harder still to bear the shame
Of foreign chains around us
And so I said, "The mountain glen
I'll seek at morning early
And join the bold united men
While soft winds shake the barley"

While sad I kissed away her tears
My fond arms round her flinging
The foeman's shot burst on our ears
From out the wildwood ringing
A bullet pierced my true love's side
In life's young spring so early
And on my breast in blood she died
While soft winds shook the barley

But blood for blood without remorse
I've taken at Oulart Hollow
And laid my true love's clay cold corpse
Where I full soon may follow
As round her grave I wander drear
Noon, night and morning early
With breaking heart when e'er I hear
The wind that shakes the barley
* No man ever wore a scarf as warm as his daughter’s arm around his neck.*

Just got some vocal jazz for myself, this time bought the album "Pieces Of Me" by Linda Hoyle. Have yet to listen to the album in full, but at least I like what I have heard in Youtube!

I just received my copy of Imeall by Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh. I had been planning to order it since I got the T with the Maggies CD which I love so much but never got around to it until last week.

I haven't heard the complete album yet, just some bits and pieces but it sounds great so far. My immediate favourite is Mo Nion O. It is such a wonderful and lovely song, this song alone is worth buying the album for! :D

Love,

Yvonne

Haven't been upgrading my latest music additions for a while, but some time ago I was able to buy myself the debut solo album of Fiionnuala Sherry (of Secret Garden fame), entitled "Songs From Before". And today I then pre-ordered the soon-to-be-released album by Hayley Westenra, entitled "Paradiso" (music by Ennio Morricone).

With the Hayley Westenra/Ennio Morricone (by the way it's superb!!) album arrived, two more additions to my CD collection: The Wind That Shakes The Barley by Loreena McKennitt (at long last!) plus The Celtic Viol by Jordi Savall (some viola da gamba music).

After winning 6 cassettes of Clannads, I now have Clannad 2 (original), Dulaman (Original), Anan (got this but it was included) Crann Ull (yellow cover, white cassette,) I have 2 versions of Crann Ull, one green which I had before; and one yellow, one cassette is clear, one is white. This is same for Fuaim which I had before, but cassette is white. Clannad in Concert reissue, if I can get original I be happy.
There you stood in front of me
Dressed in glory, white to see
Spell-bound on the deep blue skies
Created on high
Cold and warm, you set one's heart
'Cause you're the mighty one
