Clannad at Temple Bar TradFest 2011

Postby Susann » Mon Nov 01, 2010 10:48 am

Because of Ed's information on www.clannad.nl I asked the organisers of the Temple Bar TradFest about any news. I got the following information:

- CLANNAD will play on the 29th of January in Christ Church Cathedral
- ALTAN and Friends will play on the 26th of January
- BEOGA and CIORRAS will play on the 27th of January
- Jackie Daly, Matt Cranitch, Brendan Power and Tim Edey will play on the 28th of January

I will be there :D :D :D .

Excellent, thanks for the news!

Fingers crossed I'll be there. It's been ages since I last saw Clannad/Moya in concert.

Bought a ticket today!!!

I still don't know if I've got to work that day or not, so it could be a bit of a mad sprint, but if it means going straight to Liverpool Airport from work, then that's the way it's got to be. I'm certainly not passing up on it without a fight!

Excellent, I hope to see you there! I'm just waiting for the nod from my other half so I can go ahead and book two tickets, he better hurry up and decide - Hell hath no fury like a fan denied access to a sold out concert celebrating Clannad's 40th anniversary!

Scratch the "fingers crossed", I'm definitely going - had it confirmed at work today. The "hell hath no fury" logic seems to work, Barry!:mrgreen:

Still looks OK at the moment, G - I've just gone back to tickets.ie, and it's asking me how many tickets I want!

I think what Barry said was meant to try and hurry his partner up before they do sell out, but I think you're OK for the time being!

Don't panic just yet!!!!

I would have thought you'll be OK getting a flight this far in advance, Noodle. I got a flight without any problem from Manchester, and I would have thought there are far more flights from the South East! :)

Oh, and if you're stuck for a hotel, it might be worth checking out some of the hotels near to Dublin Airport. I've got in to a place about 10 minutes from there, and at the time I booked I managed to get it for 19 Euro. I see they've gone up to 29 Euro (about £25) for the night now, but if you can't find anything else, PM me and I'll let you have the details.

Thanks Dave! I'm going to see if I can stay near the Temple Bar area so it's not too much of a trek back from the concert. Expensive I know but I'll see what's around.

I'll PM you if I get stuck if you don't mind?
