- Passion Pit (the band) and Lady GaGa!! I am so ashamed of the latter, but she has some fun music.

- Foucault, psychoanalysis, and the history of medicine

- Derrida and the other Continental Thinkers (I guess Foucault would go under this)

- LOST! It's bad.

- Chacos, my favorite shoes of all time.

- UP! Such a great movie!

More and more Celtic jewellery for me, straight from the gardening fair! This time the sellers remembered me, so I got some discounts as well! I bought these:

-a pair of studded claddagh earrings (gold-plated)
-a "Friendship knot" cross pendant (gold-plated)
-a claddagh cross pendant (silvery, with green stone in the middle of the claddagh part)
-two gold-plated Celtic harp pendants (one small and one bigger)
-a celtic ornamented, silvery ring
-two pairs of hooked silvery earrings, one pair of claddagh and another cross-shaped

I know, I'd imagine it's true for most unis! I was so shocked when i read it though, and have been making a conscious effort to cut down my internet hours ever since!!

My latest addiction -my teeny weeny garklein recorder that I just bought yesterday! Only about 16 cm long, but with a great woody sound! Great tool for me to make bird call sounds whenever needed... Pity that I can play only for 15 minutes (max) per day for the first few weeks, but I just don't want it to crack! This is how it looks like:

And how it sounds like (click for the pearwood/birnbaum):

I have also made a bold step and ordered a Shaw low whistle (low D) for myself via a Finnish webshop (run by ex-Värttinä musicians)! They will mail it to me within the next few days so I should receive it quite soon! Can hardly wait!

My latest addictions include:

Another Shaw tinwhistle, in fact two! The one I already received in early June is A-tuned, and the one I'm waiting for (scheduled to arrive late July/early August) is E-tuned whistle.

Tempur Ombracio pillow: I have had my previous (ordinary) pillow for absolutely ages, and as I recently discovered that my neck and shoulder muscles are quite tense each time I wake up in the mornings, I decided to ditch the old pillow and invest a bit more to a new one. I usually sleep on either of my side or on my belly, so this time I purchased a pillow that is a bit like a small butterfly in terms of shape (Tempur Ombracio). Quite a pricey investment I say (got it for 130 euros although the list price is 160 euros), but definitely worth for getting! No more stiff necks after night's sleep!

Enjoy the simple things in life.

One more addiction for me: This time a wooden tenor recorder of Küng brand, made of pearwood! It was a bit pricey but really worth for getting as it has a really mellow, warm sound. Though I have to take it easy for some weeks now as I have to limit my playing time in order to prevent the wood from cracking...

I'm addicted to collect Runrig, Clannad on tape. I want to collect Vinyl of theirs and CDs.
There you stood in front of me
Dressed in glory, white to see
Spell-bound on the deep blue skies
Created on high
Cold and warm, you set one's heart
'Cause you're the mighty one

I'm getting really passionate about protecting and saving animals from cruelty and abuse. This Thursday September 1 ,the hunt will start again in Taiji Japan, thousands of dolphins will be killed.Only because they are 'not good enough' for the likes of Sea World.I'm taking part in protests on Facebook,http://www.savejapandolphins.org has all the information.

Still waiting for my E tinwhistle to arrive (delay due to some unexpected problems with the new prototype the manufacturer is trying to perfect), but in the meantime I was able to get myself yet another Shaw whistle, this time B natural (H) one!
