Moya in New England, USA

Postby munchkin1087 » Thu Jan 21, 2010 3:19 am

I was very fortunate to have personally met Moya almost seven years ago in Boston at a signing for Two Horizons. I also saw her show in Somerville that night. What an experience. She is coming back this way in March, to Regent Theater in Arlington and I couldn't be happier. Very eager for tickets to go on sale. I ended up emailing about them because the theater has no recollection of a show by her being there. I got a confirmation stating she would be and tickets are not on sale yet. Not sure if anyone has run into the same problem, but if you have, there's your answer! :D

Welcome to the forum, Aimee! Hope you enjoy it here with us! :D

Enjoy the concert in March, too. It sounds as if you've been waiting a long time to see Moya again, but it'll be worth the wait! ;)

Thanks for the Welcome! Yes I have been waiting a long time...it's not very often that she comes to the states, let alone the New England area. I am very excited.

Welcome, munchkin1087! I am a Hartford-area native now living in the Boston west suburbs. Up until now, those of us who live in New England have had to drive west to New York to see Moya. The first time I went to Towne Crier Cafe I did meet someone from New Hampshire.

Wow, that's a drive! I'm glad she's chosen venues in this area...I wouldn't mind a drive to New York if I had to, but it's great that she comes to the Boston area, which is only about 45 minutes to an hour away from me. I have front row tickets to her show in March. I am very thrilled!

Congrats munchkin1087! There is a chance I might go if I can get tickets. I will have to fly from the west coast but I really want to do it! Maybe we will see each other there. :D

The show last night was AMAZING! Moya did a signing along with Sinead and Cormac. She is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. This is my 2nd time meeting her, and I was able to have a conversation with her. She was willing to take a picture with me and signed a poster and CD for me. I brought my best friend to the show so she could experience her music and enjoyed it a lot. And got to meet her as well! One of the best nights I've ever had.
