Tony Clarke RIP

Postby wonky_eggs » Fri Jan 22, 2010 7:30 pm

I've just read on Ed's news page that Tony Clake, producer of Clannad's "Legend" album has died. Sad news it has to be said. Strange how I dug out that album earlier today for the first time in over a year and after enjoying it so much to find this out.

RIP Mr.Clarke - and thanks for helping to make "Legend" such a classic!

Thanks for the heads-up, Barry. I've just been over to the Mike Pinder website forum and have brought back this link to the topic: ... sc&start=0

Tony Clarke made his fame by producing The Moody Blues during the late 1960s and early 1970s, when such fans as myself would hang on their every word. In the late 1980s when "Robin of Sherwood" exposed me to Clannad, I wasn't even aware of his part in it.

So passes the human link between Clannad and a mainstream "cosmic-rock" band.
