Hello Steph, and welcome to Moya's forum. I'm not sure if there is an instrumental version of Moya's Oiche Chiuin, as far as I know there isn't one. Nevertheless, I hope your show will go well ofcourse! :)

How have I been on the forum for so long and not voted on this thread?!!!

I've voted for God rest ye merry, Gentlemen - I adore that particular arrangement, even though the key is a bit on the low side for me to sing along to...

I feel like arguing with you Dave

I was never an Irish Christmas fan...until i saw Moya live four gigs in a row lately ! i fell in love with that record and specially DECK THE HALLS !

great original arrangements in there.

Before the tour i didnt really care much for that album...

I'm far from arguing with you, Pierre - I love the whole album. Just that one track "grabs" me more than the others!

I voted for "God rest ye merry gentleman" ...
The first version of this song I've ever listened to was that of Loreena McKennitt in the album "A winter garden", 1995...
I was a child when I listened to it the first time, this song is one of my eldest memories but when I listened to Moya's version, I realized that I wasn't able to establish whether Moya had surpassed Loreena or not...
At last I ended up thinking Moya's version is even better than Loreena's...
There's something interesting in such a soft, low and like "thick" voice...
Moya's voice has a "thickness" indeed, I've ever noticed that in her singing, that's also what makes the songs particular many times... :)

However, also love "Deck the halls"... but that song will remain the first ! :D
