Hi MoT, as per our PMs, I knew it was a bit of a long shot but always worth a go :)

Last weekend, I managed to get one of the chaps at my aeromodelling club to successfully fly my Boomerang plane. He said that it was the best Boomerang he'd ever flown. if I can't learn to fly it within 4 months, he said, then I need to be shot. Well, wish me luck enough that I'm still around in 4 months' time ..... :D

I can just about fly the EasyStar unaided.

Next stage - add a video camera and make flying videos. If you think I'm joking, then see here. Obviously not me flying but I was there the day that video was made.
If you don't know what eschatology is then don't worry; it's not the end of the world.

Good luck, Anya! I hope that everything goes smoothly!

I leave for university in one week! I am so excited but so scared! I've hardly been away from home without my parents before, so that is a bit terrifying, and I'm also worried that I won't be able to cut it academically. I mean, there are going to be some absolute geniuses at Yale, and I'm just the "well-rounded" sort. But, on the other hand, the Yale students I've talked with so far seem really nice and really interesting. I can't wait to meet them. Plus, this is the first time in my life that I have the freedom to choose all of my own classes, which should be very exciting!

Good luck AS, I'm thinking of you - I just know you'll be fine and you'll knock 'em dead, but you know where to find me if you need a chat :)

Wish me luck folks, I've got a meeting first thing tomorrow morning with some people from the learning authority for my area to assess whether they can (or rather will) help me towards the cost of accomodation at uni this year. If all goes well I'm hoping to find 'my own' place :) Wish me luck!
