Since the thread concerning the topic has somehow disappeared off the board, it seems that the second best place to post it is here.

:D

(btw, how do you stress the word Clannad? :|)

Thanks for the video. IMO, the crowd sounded a bit dead, I mean, no one was clapping!

I believe it is CLA-nad, but I am not sure.

Obviously the Clannad fans weren't there! I saw Clannad in Manchester (where that award ceremony was held), and they got a standing ovation!!! Still, it the recognition that counts, I guess, and Moya really did deserve it!

That's always been the way I've pronounced it, too (and it doesn't seem too far off how I've heard Moya pronounce it in concerts), but it's a bit difficult to demonstrate what I mean on a website!

Thanks for posting the link, anyway!!![/i]

thanks  I have heard Moya pronounce the name of the band so many times that I stopped paying attention to that, but whenever I hear 'cla-NAD' (and I've heard it pronounced this way a few times) I turn suspicious

Here you go, Luned.

Apologies for it being completely out of season (videos of Xmas concerts in June?!!! 8) Tapestry is on there as well, though...!!! ). If you fast forward this to 5 mins 30 or thereabouts on this video, 'tis Moya herself with your pronunciation!!!!

Enjoy!!!

Thanks, Dave! :) There's no better authority on that than Moya herself :D

why out of season? haven't we had quite a big group of forumers claiming that listening to AIC in summer is as good as in winter? ;) Besides, it's soo beautiful *sigh*
Thanks!!! :)

Tá failte romhat! (Waits for random shouts of "romhat" to start!!! )

The only reason for the comment about it being out of season is that I didn't want people to think I spend most of my time watching Xmas stuff on YouTube 6 months early (or late, depending on how you look at it..... )

Trust me, Luned - it was!!! (Although I couldn't see much during the last encore, with everyone standing - oh, to be a couple of inches taller!!!!  )

I've posted a review in the Moya Live section under "Moya at the Earagail Arts Festival" if you want to have a look. It'll save going off topic here!!!
