There are many reasons to support this statement, but 2 have to be highlighted today.Saturday 21 March 2009 will go down in the history books as the big day for the Irish Rugby team who won the RBS Six Nations Championship ( including the Grand Slam and Triple Crown) and Dublin's own Bernard Dunne who managed to get his hands on the WBA Super-Bantamweight worldtitle.Let's party !!!

The last few minutes of the match are simply unforgettable.I was on my knees when Wales got the last penalty, full of despair ,but up in a flash when Stephen Jones missed. The team got a great reception when they came back to Dublin this afternoon, the city was coloured green again for the second time in 5 days.
Bernard Dunne's worldtitle is another great achievement, but wasn't the best for my nails, there isn't much left of the latter after yesterday's heart-stopping events
. :D

I'm not Irish, but I won't argue with that statement. :)

Haha, just noticed this. I was walking home as the match started and there was literally not a house the whole way home that didn't have the match on in their front room. I was jumping up and down trying to see the score as I went. What a match!!! I thought the pictures at the end were briiiilliant. What I wouldn't have given to be Mary McAleese, surrounded by all those handsome sweaty irishmen!!!

Will be to arrive where we started

I was well chuffed for the Irish; deservedly won the competition.

My late dad was Irish; I'd like to think he was there in spirit............

The party still isn't over yet thanks to the provinces who play their rugby on international level.Munster and Leinster are currently ranked 1 & 2 in the Magners League and both are still in the running for the Heineken Cup.Captain Brian O'Driscoll has been voted as player of the championship and Ronan O'Gara has scored more points than any other player over the years. The Lions tour is coming up later this year,Paul O'Connell or our captain will lead the team against South -Africa.More Irishmen ladies

I'm proud and glad to be... Italian!

But I won't argue with this statement
