You haven't lived until, after 30 years on crutches, you get to be a bit of an adrenaline junkie!

I got to abseil in New Zealand, it was so fun! however the walk up wasn't cause my vision was acting up - no depth perception  - that day, so i ended up hanging on to a few of my friends :) .

hmmm...you haven't lived until you land in New Zealand at 5am local time and haven't slept since you left home.

Thanks!

Not quite so spectacular as New Zealand for me - that picture was taken on a man-made wall in South West England!!! Still good fun though!

It's a centre that runs activity holidays for disabled people. I've seen them take people in wheelchairs abseiling down there - with the people still in the chair (honestly!!!! ). Once you get over the shock of seeing a wheelchair coming down vertically from 30 feet (!) what they do there is amazing!

You haven't lived until you walk out of Leo's having bumped into Pól Brennan in a doorway. Then, a moment later, you see your wheelchair been lifted down steps by a gentleman in a cap, who looks strangely familiar..... and it's only afterwards you realise it's Ciarán!!!

I can't put into words how daft I felt for not realising straight away!

you've seen the amazing scenery of Donegal. (Yeah an obvious one for this forum, but it's so true!)

you've climbed Hestur in the Faroe Islands and seen the entire group of islands from that height... and the ocean straight down off a cliff.

you've climbed the dunes in Namibia where they meet the sea.

You haven't lived until...

Postby Calogero » Wed Jul 22, 2009 6:55 am

I don't know if I may dare saying it but it's what first comes to my mind:

You haven't lived until you've not faced and solved the life-challenging reality of death...

I know, it's maybe not what you had expected but still, I think that question is very important to find a good balance in life.

Tell me what you think of it...

You haven't lived until you've sampled the craic in Dublin on St Patrick's Day.

The parade, several pints of Guinness, and a trad music band in my hotel - absolute heaven!!!! :D
