Song of the Day

Postby Eternal_Silence » Sat Jun 28, 2008 8:03 pm

I saw this on another forum and I liked the idea, because this might produce some sort of discussion and interest, instead of just one big list of songtitles.

I guess the title of the topic kind of explains itself: post the song you have on your mind today, tell us about why you like it or why you thought of it, maybe some background about the band or artist. Give us a link to a recording or music video if you can. One song per person per day.

I hope you think it's a nice idea.

Anyway, here's my song of the day ^^:

Kagrra - うたかた (Utakata)
http://youtube.com/watch?v=K1BZ0Jn8sgM

I have been addicted to this song for the last 2 days and the reason for that is because I got my tickets for their concert in August, which I'm going to attend (yay!).
Kagrra is a Japanese rockband and part of the Visual Kei movement. They make soft, gentle rock and they have a lot of Japanese elements in their music, which I like a lot.

My song of the day is a song called "Let's Start A Band", from Amy MacDonald.

I somehow keep getting back to this song when I play Amy's album "This Is The Life". But anyway, this is my song of the day... :)

^ She has nice music ^^. A lot of her music sounds a bit the same though. I nearly saw her on Pinkpop.

My song of the day is: Petter ft. Säkert - Logiskt

http://youtube.com/watch?v=CGw9AMXhUrU

I found this song a while ago by accident and I really liked it! I guess that's because I *love* the sound of Swedish =D. I don't know much about either Petter or Säkert. All I know is that Säkert's real name is Annika Norlin and she's in a band called Hello Saferide.

My song of today is not actually a song, but a piece called "Magnetic Fields" by Jean-Michel Jarre. Just because yesterday evening I had my first ever experience of an MRI scan (due to my gallstone problems)! Not bad at all I say, especially as I listened Classic FM Finland all the way through the scan!

Yes, the scan itself went off nicely indeed, though I have to wait until Sep 15th for my surgeon appointment!

Song of today part 2: On Jai Ya by a group called AO Music, just while waiting for the Paralympics to start! Let's see how many gold medals Team Finland will win this time!

My Song of the Day is: Anouk - Nobody's Wife

Because I heard it on the radio and remembered how much I loved it when I was younger :D. And I still love it ^___^!

My song of the day is Patti Griffin "Rain". Just because I think it's an extremely beautiful song, and because the weather here matches :)

Song of the day today is the title song to "Big Cook Little Cook" TV series, just because I (little cook Small) and my Mum (big cook Ben) have been making the birthday cake for myself today!
