‘Green to Gold’ by Moya - Première (New Moya single!)

Ireland’s official Olympic anthem ‘Green to Gold’, sung by Moya Brennan and written by Grand Canal’s Niall Austin, is set for its TV premiere, Hotpress Magazine revealed earlier today. The song will get its first airing on RTE 1’s Saturday Night with Miriam O’Callaghan at 9:45 this Saturday July 19. The single will be officially released on August 1, and profits will go towards developing amateur sports in Ireland. Grand Canal’s ‘If You Knew’, taken from new album Beauty Never Seen, appears on the b-side. More information to follow!

I've just had a look, and it looks promising that the programme will be available through the rte.ie website.

I would imagine it won't find it's onto the website until Sunday, but I'll keep an eye on the website, and let you know if/when it gets posted!

On my birthday no less! :) Does this mean Moya is being accepted by a bigger audience or is that wishful thinking?

But wonderful news!!!

Watch it online tonight

http://tinyurl.com/5e4ekp =)

Update: around five minutes ago it changed to 'Ireland only'. It will be online tomorrow or the day after though I'm told.

Update: The first verse has the same tune as 'She Moved Through The Fair', then it gets into a really AMAZING tune, different for Moya, but it's stunning. I'll add a few shots to NS tonight. The lyrics are a wee bit cheesy for the Olympics, but altogether, it's a brilliant song! =)

It's a great song and Moya sang it so well!

They would have won the Eurovision Song Contest with this one! :D

That'll teach me to have a day away! I missed it! Anyone know if it's archived?
