Teidir Abhaile Riu is explosive live - it HAS to be the best possible song for live performance.

I so agree with you, Grania and Methica! With Teidhir Abhaile Riu live, you can't help but smile and get excited with all the energy in the song. We're really lucky there's a live version on Live in Concert so we can enjoy whenever we want.

I think that might be the euphoria of the experience, or you were a little tipsy.

I'd say it was most certainly just euphoria. Although I think it was actually true that the song had increased energy live. It's like what happens with Teidhir Abhaile Riu.

I'll have to take your word for it.

I love this song . . . especially the Gaeilge part. It's really lively for such a sad song, but it's really powerful. One of my favorite songs from Signature :)

Killiney, Nessie is entitled to express herself on this Forum however she will, even to the point of bellowing her lungs out, to Grania. They go back so far here they are in front of themselves!

Yes, maybe it's not the best song ever to perform live but it defintily is one of those songs that are much stronger live than on the CD. The first time I heard it live I guess it was the first time I relaized how powerful that song is.
Take a music bath once or twice a week for a few seasons, and you will find that it is to the soul what the water bath is to the body.

After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.

No need to apologise Nessie, I was only joking.

But yes, I can see what you mean with 'Against the Wind', that would be a very strong song to hear live, but I think that Many Faces would seem a little out of place at a live performance, if that makes sense.

Why do you think it would be out of place?

I don't think a live performance of 'Many Faces' would do the rythm or Máire's voice justice.
