Macha, I agree, it is a wonderful song, I love the Gaeilge part:

Chaill mé daoine dána
Chaill mé daoine fior
Chaill mé daoine dána
San bealach roimh
Chaill mé daoine dána
Chaill mé daoine fior
Chaill mé daoine dána
San bealach roimh

The lyrics are sad, but the melody's awesome. So fast, and lively.

She was one of the ones doing the hand jive at one of Máire's tour and they were making it extremely hard for Máire who was trying to sing and laugh at the same time, believe me, its hard.

G, the forum ain't gonna kill ya. But while I was listening to the song, I had a vision of a bunch of forumers doing the hand jive lol.

And it doesn't seem that embarrassing doing a hand jive to the rythm. But you've got to admit, its a cool rythm. Very fast and lively, despite the sad lyrics.

As I'm sure G's aware from the discussion we had in PMs lol.

I can see why you might start doing hand jives and the like to this song live! Although I wouldn't. Anyway, it's absolutely spectacular live. The energy the song has on the album is only increased.

I think that might be the euphoria of the experience, or you were a little tipsy.

I'd say it was most certainly just euphoria. Although I think it was actually true that the song had increased energy live. It's like what happens with Teidhir Abhaile Riu.
