I hope you get to learn the harp someday, Marlies! It's too bad that you didn't get to when you wanted to a couple years ago. The good thing about the harp is it is very common that people pick it up later in life, so it really is an instrument you have your whole life to learn.

Yeah it's lovely, a slow one it's true, but still lovely.

Never mind Marlies, you never know :) I never thought I would get to play and I did :)

I play, though I've had little "training" except from my grandmother a really long time ago. I love to play. There is a sense of piece and contentment when I do.

I've been playing the harp for a little over a year now. It's my favorite instrument!

Maybe you can perform for your fellow students? :D

I'd love to learn the harp, particularly the concert harp, though I neither have the money nor the time at the moment.

Funny you should say that  I joined one of the university choirs this week, and signed up for vocal coaching at the same time, which I went along to this morning. When the woman found out I play harp she asked me if I might bring it along to one of the choir's perforances - in the local prison!

Very well thank you. The professor (who I was utterly terrified of) was very nice to me, complimented me on my voice, my ability to learn aurally and said I had the right sort of voice for the style that I sing :D

I didn't realize that you had your harp at university, G! That's awesome!

You should definitely play for the other students! :D
