May I be so bold as to recomend itunes free single this week- 'Woodcat' by Tunng, really simple acoustic piece, but it's so cute. Definately worth it- specially since it's free :lol: 8)

There's an amazing singer called Heidi Talbot. She's also a singer with 'Cherish the Ladies'. She has an amazing voice. Her music is sort of easy-listening/indie, but she's really amazing.
http://www.heiditalbot.com/

And another is Deirdre Scanlon, she has one solo album, but her new album with band Solas is amazing. It's a live one. Their version of Níl Sé Ina Lá is probably my favorite, its under the name 'Níl 'na Lá' though thats used with a lot of versions of the song.

Deirdre's the one at the end on this picture; http://www.skylineonline.com/scans/Solas%203.jpg

Edites to mention;
Sarah McLachlan is also amazing. her website is www.sarahmclachlan.com - you should have a look at her videos.

Sarah McLachlan is soo good! =D

I'd like to recommend Ross-Alexander. They're from Belfast and they make very nice music! ^___^
Here's their myspace:

And Brian Houston, also from Belfast. I especially like the song Childish Things. Here's his myspace as well:

Heidi? If you ever met her, you would really like her. She's such a sweetheart! :mrgreen:

I'm also a huge fan of the rest of the Ladies. I've seen them in concert at least 6 times, and we always have some big hugs for each other at the meet-and-greets. So yes, they do know who I am. :wink: 8)

They're not only sweethearts, but crack musicians as well. Good recommendation, Roibeard! 8)

There's an amazing singer called Susan McKeown. Her version of 'Dhéanainn Súgradh' is here!. Her website is www.susanmckeown.com - She's an amazing singer!

EDIT :: P.S. Jim you are so lucky! I'd love to see them live soon, especially Heidi with the Ladies!

EDIT :: P.S. She also does a version of 'Mháire Bhruineall', which is my favorite recording of it. Click here!
