he's fabulous all right; even better live.

I think you should all listen to Vaughan Williams- folk music orchestrated! and such lush sound... and drama... aaaaaaaaaaargh it's devastatingly beautiful. Theme from Thomas Tallis or The Lark Ascending should be all you need to be converted to his music.

Yes Nessie, the wonderful violinist Nicola Benedetti has just released an album with V-W's The Lark Ascending -it's really lovely!

I have yet to purchase Nicola Benedetti's new album. I have her other two albums and they are really enjoyable. Judging from her site samples, her new album could be her best yet.

I'd like to recommend a very nice artist: Brooke Alyson.

I've just bought LOVE by The Cult, having heard the song 'She Sells Sanctuary' on a film soundtrack. Its rock music, but quite dark and sometimes verging on 70s sounding even though it was released in 1985!

only 5 quid from Cambridge market.

*looks over at ness buried in Malory book* :P

What a coincidence - I just discovered that band this week and the song I like most is 'She Sells Sanctuary'. I borrowed The Best Of... from someone but I think I'm going to buy it myself soon =P.

Coincidentally someone uploaded this song onto my itunes today (wonder who that was?) and I rather like it too! Tho, admittedly, it is better when NOT driving insanely at 90mph down the motorway..
*dances about*

Yes, Methica, you're right. This song is wonderful. My fave radio station plays it almost every day and I can't hear it often enough. Just love that song.

Just a question... Is there anyone here heard of Duffy? She's from Wales and her single Mercy is doing very well... I'm thinking about buying her album... :P

I have heard of her. I only know one song of her though and I find that one horribly repetative and it sticks in your head like crazy :P. But it isn't a bad song.

So I've decided I'm going to buy the album next tuesday, since I hopefully have my money then... And I just bought the single from Mercy, which I saw for 4euros. The B-side, a song called Tomorrow is really good too :D

I'd like to recommend someone called Nathalie Nahai.
She's from England and she makes some really nice music, I'm sure people who like stuff like Moya will like her as well.

I just discovered Laura Marling via last.fm (this music community site. You get to know loads of new artists via that site, I like it! Just google it if you're interested).

I really like her music, she has creative videos as well.
Visit her site to listen to some of her music: http://www.lauramarling.com
