Nice piccies G! Funny you should mention water and shutter speeds.

Check out these two I captured in a storm drain in Manchester:

They were both taken on a tripod with 10 second exposure, the effect on the water is lovely I think!

Thanks to those photos and this convo, I had a dream last night that featured Andy as a 'storm-drain-hunter' (like a tornado hunter), riding around in a jeep with a camera crew and getting incredibly excited about storm drains for a documentary he was making.

Considering a career move at all, andy?

Great pics Andy, the long exposure technique works well when (moving) water is involved. :)

Replace the jeep with a Jaguar and the film crew with my cousins and you are not far wrong. I'd be kinda like the Steve Irwin of the underground: 'CRIKEY!'

Haha and it wasnt that long ago it was a jeep, was it? I figured out how my subconscious got confused, by the way, 'storm hunters' is what they're called, isnt it? Storm hunter = storm drain hunter. Methinks you should suggest this to Leon as his next project

Great shot, Andy! The only thing that bothers me a little is the light peeping from under your arm (I'm assuming that's you) :P.

Thanks Marlies and yeah that bit of light bothers me too, now I have an excuse to go back and re-shoot it. You're right it is me! :D
