Actually, it's funny you should mention that. I organised a garden party for the university English society, with a MND theme!! And I just got photos - LOOK AT THE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

And that was only half of it!! :D we had lanterns and flowers and stuff but the photos of those don't seem to have turned out so well.
Next challenge, Luned??

And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

This photo was taken by Isabella last Sunday. She has visited me last week and stayed over the weekend. I'm sorry that I don't have a larger version of that pic. But I hope you like it.

Hi all,

These will be familiar sights to regulars on the forum, and anyone who has access to my Facebook will have already seen these. As we've had quite a few new arrivals lately, I thought I'd post a few photos from my recent trip to Gweedore, so those who haven't been can get some idea of what the place is like. Some of the photos have turned out better than others, but they're still not too bad for a camera phone!!! Enjoy!!!

Dunlewey and the Poisoned Glen:

Wow, beautiful pictures, Dave. :) I love the Poisoned Glen and the near by church (Is that church abandoned?).

Bunbeg beach is a must see when in Gweedore, especially the boat in that harbor. :)

I would imagine so - apart from tourists like us!

Definitely - but see it whilst you can. Sadly, it seems to be breaking up at a fair old rate now. :(

Thanks to Hester and the girls for getting Dave and wheelchair so close to it this time, though. I seem to remember that when we went in '08, the tide had not long gone out, and I was terrified of sinking like quicksand!!! Made it this time though, and it was worth it!

Great photos Dave and you're right about the familiar sights.I will be able to have a look myself again from next Saturday, but the days seem to be longer when one's waiting for a holiday.Hopefully Donegal will be drawn against Dublin in the Football Championship,it's a recipe for great fun in Leo's. :D

Rokua calling again! Just did a small web search and as I forgot my camera completely home, I thought to give you at least some idea of what it is like here. This week it's been constantly around +20C or warmer (daytime) outdoors, so looks like the summer is still with us! Anyway, here is some photos from Rokua:

Now off to dinner...

I know I'm one of the people who had seen them already, G, but they're great photos!

You couldn't have timed it much better with that sunset! :D
