It took some time to get a good photo, insects aren't the most reliable creatures when it comes to staying in one spot for a few seconds. :)

Thank you both for the nice comments, photography is one of my hobbies and I'm lucky to have so many opportunities at hand.
The picture below was taken closer to home,St.Stephen's Green here in Dublin, the tulip has been through a fierce battle with the wind

I have Ball pictures!!! :D

Pre-ball photo shoot in the gardens outside my flat:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 212452.jpg

(a bad pic of me but it shows the detail on my dress!!)
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 212579.jpg

the obligatory Charlie's angels pose with my beloved flatmates (it was a masquerade ball):
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 212584.jpg

my college husband does his own interpretation of 'masque':
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 64040_.jpg

meanwhile, i search for potential suitors (I got college divorced) in the crowd...:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 64036_.jpg

... and then the ball began! with a champagne reception, and then fruit, which doesn't sound extravagant but...
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 365176.jpg

Next, we visited antarctica. The one in third court, that is...
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 365177.jpg

2 am - a carousel ride (had to side saddle in my dress. Very lady-like)!
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 365182.jpg

Eating waffles with some friends beside an enormous, rotating, glowing globe at 3 am (as one does):
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 212459.jpg

and then at 5, things got a bit trippy when we discovered picture frames hanging about the forest:
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v625/ ... 253599.jpg

needless to say, both Balls were soooo coooooooooooooooooooool....
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
