At first I would like to wish Moya, her family and all forumers a fantastic year 2009 :D :D :D.

Here are some pictures I took during my Christmas holidays at my parents in Thuringia (East Germany). On the 22nd December we were at the Christmas market in Erfurt which is one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in Germany. Every year the Erfurt Christmas market is located in the Cathedral Square. Directly from the square you can go to an old cellar which was a wine depot from a monastery in the past. Flower-arrangers created a kind of an Advent calendar in 23 niches and one room (No 24) in the cellar. The last pics I took on a walk with my parents’ dog “Anka” near the village where I grew up.

Great photos, Andy! Brings back memories...
Mark and I have been talking about going to Ireland for a holiday in the future, apparently Donegal is great for surfing! And the Mourne mountains are great for rock climbing... 8)

And I know there are some dusts visible in some pictures; they annoy me a lot, but I am too lazy to photoshop them out right now ^^.
