I still haven't listened to any more of The Corrs' new album since I bought it, shame on me! I've asked for Keane's album for Christmas (fingers crossed)

Andy, have you heard Goldfrapp's previous album "Felt Mountain"? I bought it yesterday, and although not as great as "Black Cherry" is still very good. I was pleasently suprised was I first played it, as the opening track "Lovely Head" is the track I've been wanting for ages, the whistle-song from the end of the very, very dark BBC comedy Monkey Dust.

Other good songs I like so far are "Paper Bag" and "Human".

Barry.

i looooove that song
*whistles*
are all their songs as good as that or was it just a one off hit?
i might invest in this album with recently aquired birthday lolly, and you and i seem to have similar musical taste, Barry.....

Additions from Christmas:

Franz Ferdinand - "Franz Ferdinand. Brilliant album, very, very catchy! The album tracks are all equally as good as the singles "Michael", "Take Me Out", "The Dark Of The Matinée" and "This Fire".

Rufus Wainwright - "Poses". I haven't had enough time to listen to this in full, but from what I have heard so far, it sounds as good as his "Want One" album. Songs that stuck out on my first listen were "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk" and "Rebel Prince".

Nope, i've only heard black cherry so far, but I will add felt mountain to my wish list thanks Barry! :D

So many CDs to get, I got Dido's "Life for rent" and U2's "How to dismantle an atomic bomb" for christmas, they are both great albums but the dido one has that NASTY copy control thing on it, so I can't listen to it on my MP3 player. :(

*UPDATE* I found a way around the copy control thing, so a big raspberry to the record company for being spoilsports and trying to stop the march of technology. :P

Artist: Vangelis
Album: 1492 -Conquest of Paradise (OST)
Comment: A real gem for just 5 Euros! I have been searching this album for a long time and I was already fearing it was sold out, but thank goodness one copy was left!

latest albums

Postby TrailOfTears » Sat Jan 08, 2005 7:50 pm

So my latest ones are:

Carlos Nunez "Finistere - The end of the earth"
-- He is from galicia and on his album he did a worldwide
celtic journey, somewhat like moya did on two-horizons.
For me this album contains a kind of spirit.

Elane "The fire of glenvore"
-- Elane is a young german band and their music keeps
some different styles, but also a good load of celtic.
Joran, the voice of Elane, is bound to start a great carreer...

that's all for the moment.......... 8)
