I've got that one, too - Suvi! It's a great album, even if you do have most of the songs already!

Then again, when I bought it, I was sadly lacking in Clannad trad albums, so I had to do somehting about it!

Whereas my other reason (though after the CD arrived) was that the songs sound like they have been remastered for this compilation, is it really so? Though I somehow miss "Harvest Home" as it is not on the double CD...

Live on Lansdowne - Dropkick Murphys

It's a great live cd by a great band.I couldn't get tickets for the gig in Dublin, but this album gives a good impression of what's going on when they are playing. :)

Right in my CD collection: "The Nightingale And The Butterfly" by recorder virtuoso Pamela Thorby & lutenist Elizabeth Kenny. Music by Charles Dieupart, Anne-Danican Philidor, Louis Caix D'Hervelois, Francois Couperin and Robert De Visée. Pure aural bliss indeed!

Laws of Illusion - Sarah McLachlan
Finally a new album. Although I didn't like the album much at first, it's starting to grow on me and I honestly think some songs are among the best Sarah has ever recorded.

Had an early jumpstart for Christmas, as earlier this week I got the latest album by Hayley Westenra (released last year though), called Winter Magic. Have yet to listen to it though...

Suvi

Edit: Got two more albums earlier this week, this time I'm discovering more of the musical past of Karl "Adiemus" Jenkins and bought two albums by Soft Machine that feature him (Softs/Bundles). Long live the 1970s!

Last week my Mum "sponsored" me the re-release of Karl Jenkins' "The Armed Man A Mass For Peace", this time a double CD/DVD set with a new bonus piece "For The Fallen" (featuring Hayley Westenra in vocals and Bernard Cribbins as narrator) on the CD. Marvellous indeed...

Yet another addition to my stack of CDs, this time Carols & Christmas Songs by Bryn Terfel. Featuring Welsh versions of some well-known Christmas songs (such as Away In Manger) plus a duet version of "White Christmas" "with" Bing Crosby!

Just in to my CD collection: The first AO Music album "Grow Wild", released in 2000. Not featuring the voice of Miriam Stockley though, but quite good music anyway!

Suvi

Edit: Bought also the latest album by The Priests, entitled "Noel". Very wonderful album again from the trio!

The latest addition to my collection is a SIGNED copy of Christy Moore's Paddy On The Road. This is his first album, released in 1969 and only in a limited edition of 500.It's available on cd now ,but the fact that it's signed makes it more or less a collecter's item.
