I guess one way round it is to use "New Member" for exactly zero posts, after which it moves on to Member. Otherwise, leave it as it is.

This would cater for people who have been long-standing members here who don't post that often.

Or .... "Inactive Member" for exactly zero posts and then "Active Member" :?:

The first option sounds a good idea to me Angus, although maybe 'New member up to...I dunno, 5 posts or something?

Just my thoughts :)

I just thought of something very funny that could happen now.
just immagine Moya writes more than 1000 posts. then she will be an "Addict to Moya"
ok, i know this won't happen fast or maybe not at all as The Lady is very busy with making wonderful music and being wife, mother, sister and daughter to a wonderful family. still gave me a giggle.

or the the members with addict rank can tell her now on the concerts that they're official addicts now.

oh yeah, i forgot, she told me so as well. i mean about you!
and no, i don't think you need anyone to tell you! i guess my family is sure i'm also qualified. but i always tell them that my idols of addicts are ness and grania, and that i can't hope to compete

I think Moya herself is a better judge of who is addicted rather than a mere post-count on a forum  ....

As the voting goes here, it seems that more people want these titles to stay than don't.

I'll make the change to set people with 5 or more posts to "Member" (as opposed to "New Member").

Oh, there was one special rank I forgot to put in my former post, namely Moderator; this is for our four moderators gregoing, Daragh, Banba Óir, and wonky_eggs.

please please wanna smile tooo! please sir please.

so if you need to smile you should open a thread titling "Make me smile" so we can write in all the funny things we can come up with, only for you! and all the others needing a smile.
I actually only need sleep. so tired. that's also the reason for all the rubbish i write today.

Fame, G, horrah! Never thought my obsession would actually be noticed as anything but scary  but hey, you learn something new every day.

Hehehe, I'm so obsessed I scare myself nessie, but there you go

I really like that idea - who's gonna open the thread?

Right, the Romhat saga

It's all to do with one fine morning in Donegal - would I be right in thinking it was Tuesday 26th of August? The morning after the night before so to speak? - we had a Gaelic lesson. Roisín our very patient teacher was trying to teach us the phrase 'you're welcome' which in Gaelic is 'tá fálite romhat' - the last word sounds like 'roat'. The funny thing was that SHE couldn't see how we saw the word as being literally 'rom-hat' and WE couldn't see how it was so clearly 'roat' to her  It all resulted in much hilarity

There was also 'teach', but someone else can try and explain that

ahm, it was half meant as a joke, but hey, there you go now, i'll open the thread. only half as i always try to make people laugh. in the circus i would love to play the clown. well, some of my mates would say i am more often than not. (what a compliment!)
so we can try to write all funny stories in there, and who reads it, hopefully will smile. i just have to come up with a funny story or joke for a beginning. *thinkshard*

@you 2 can't scare me! i'm about to reach your level... ah no, rather not. i'm just to lazy and to far away to do so.
