Hang in there girl ... :)

I've found that sometimes, after you've made your point, some people will refuse to listen. No matter how hard you try, you simply cannot win and the harder you try, the more they refuse to listen.

I'm learning more and more these days to just accept that some people will want to go their own way regardless, and you've just got to let them do it. Just don't lower yourself to saying, "There, I told you so!" when they come running back at a later date.

After talking to 'high forces' I have decided that people can do what they want... but I'll still be behind them telling them they can't do that LOL When will I ever learn?? Hehehe

Seriously, I am over it now...talked to higher forces and he said to not worry about it and that I was doing the right thing..

@beth
glad to hear that. so just take this little "prayer":

Give me the strenght to change what can be changed
And give me the patience to accept what can't be changed.

Ah! A variation of the 'Serenity Prayer'.

No, that's how they have it printed everywhere. No matter what language, it's a beautiful prayer.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

Another thank you to Garbo for posting the entire Serenity Prayer. I have mostly only seen the first four lines.

Serenity Prayer

Postby Briannah » Tue Oct 18, 2005 9:33 pm

Oh my gosh, that prayer was just what I was needing to hear today. Those words so perfectly articulate . . . the "adjustment" I'm needing to make in my life. I'm feeling such emptiness at the moment, like I've lost a big part of me . . . and I'm really bereft. I wish I had stuck around more, not just when I'm enduring hardship, but . . . I find myself with a bit more time than I'm used to having, and . . . where else have I got to go? Where friends are. Where healing is.

Guilt... why do I always feel so much guilt when I do something tiny? And I should also learn when not to say anything.
