I'd strongly advise against posting such massive pictures using IMG tags, as they're not very dial-up friendly.
Each picture of about 1MB would take about 20 minutes for a dial-up user to download. That's not very nice!
A far better idea is to get hold of some image-editing software if you haven't already got some.
Irfanview is an excellent freeware solution if you can't afford anything or don't want to shell out.
Using that, make a copy of your image at a much smaller "thumbnail" resolution, say no more than 120 by 120 pixels. This should save to no more than a few KB.
Then ... here's the clever bit! You use IMG to link to the uploaded thumbnail and make it a URL (link) to the bigger image, and give text advising of how big the full-size image is.
Example time

Volcanic Gardens (59KB, 500 by 328)
Click on either the thumbnail or the text for a bigger view (sorry it's not Moya).
The code to achieve this is as follows:
- Code: Select all
[url=http://www.angmail.fsnet.co.uk/pictures/hainan06.jpg][img]http://www.angmail.fsnet.co.uk/pictures/hainan06t.gif[/img]
Volcanic Gardens (59KB, 500 by 328)[/url]
Substitute your own upload links in there.
