Moya and Cormac de Barra wil perform with Dervish in The National Concert Hall in Dublin 3rd September. The tickets cost from 20 to 35 Euro. Anybody who was at Leo's Anniversary must remember great Clannad/Dervish sessions that weekend. There wil be more artists performing with Dervish that evening. If you come to the building you can't miss the toilets:) In the corridor on the wall there are some pictures in frames of artists who I suppose gave concerts in the National Concert Hall.Of course there is a nice photo of Moya:) I've just been there today. When I saw the picture of Moya a smile on my face appeared immediately:) I just got to the Hall by incident.

I will be there :D :D :D.

On the 12th November 2006 I was in the National Concert Hall to see "Ireland's Finest in Concert". Unfortunately Moya wasn't there but the stunning line-up included for instance Paul Brady, Sir James Galway, Paddy Moloney and The Chieftains, Declan O'Rourke, Sharon Shannon, Eimear Quinn, Carlos Nunez, Brian Kennedy and Cara O'Sullivan. Even Mary McAleese was there.

That's nice to see you again, Dave. :)

Normally I love to sit in the front row but this time I thought the view would be better from the balcony so my seat is on the Green Side Balcony. Is there a special seat for you in the front row?

Not exactly, Susann.... I'm in the cheapest seat in the house - my wheelchair!!!   I'm at the back on the ground floor, but figured that was better than struggling, as I'm not familiar with the venue.

Hopefully, we'll get to meet up beforehand, but just in case, I'll PM you with my seat number (or more accurately, the number of the hole where my wheelchair's going to go! :P), and we can take it from there!

I went to Dublin for the DERVISH concert but the weather was so brilliant that I also walked a lot. Here is a little report:

On the 2nd September I arrived Dublin at midday and I was in my B & B (near the Grand Canal) around 1 pm. Just 15 minutes later I left the B & B again, walked to Pearse Station and took the DART to Dún Laoghaire. There I strolled along both piers and to Sandycove.

The next morning I walked at first to the National Concert Hall to know the way for the concert at night. It took me only 10 minutes. In the past I have never taken good photos from the Famine Memorial beside the Liffey because I always had been there in the afternoon when the sun was at the back side of the statues. So I went there to take photos with the sun sideways. Later I took the DART from Tara Station to Greystones and walked from Greystones along the cliffs to Bray. There I climbed Bray Head. On the way back to Dublin I left the DART at Lansdowne Road to see the new constructed stadium. It looks quite impressive. Along the Grand Canal I went back to the B & B, had a shower and 7.15 pm I was at the National Concert Hall.

The concert was fantastic!!! Unfortunately I have taken just a few pictures because before the concert started it was said that it is not allowed to take photos. But at the end of the concert Cathy Jordan said that we could take pictures. After the concert I had some beers with Cormac, Sinéad and Dave. Later I was in a pub near the concert hall. There I met Moya and Tim, Dervish, Cormac and Sinéad and some of the other musicians. I left the pub around 2.30 am. Ten hours later I flew back to Germany.

I had two fantastic days in Dublin!!! :D :D :D

Great time, thanks, Susann! :D

Thanks for the report and the pics - some great memories, there. I did try taking some photos when Cathy Jordan made her "invitation", but they didn't come out - I think I was too far back for my mobile to cope!!!!
