Hi all. Good news, I've turned into a christian. It wasm't easy but I saw one of my friends who shes known for ages. If you still dont believe, ask yourself this. You can't see wind, but know it;s there and see effects it has on trees. You cant see air but you know it's there, and you know this by breathing on window. You cant see gas, but you know it's there as you use it to cook. Hope everyone accepts me.

Ahh thanks, although with gas you can smell it :p

What album is good to get. I was thinking of Maire on cassette as it's cheaper as with others. ;)

Máire was my first album of Moyas' solo works and remains my favorite :!:

Congratulations, that's great news :D !

I remember very well when I became a Christian myself. At that time Moya's album Perfect Time had just been released and that was a perfect album for that time (it still is my favourite Moya album :D ). I would recommend that one, but of course Maire is also a great album to start with.

You will get many different recommendations, I think, as we all have different favourite albums here  !

Good luck!

Love,

Yvonne

There's hints of God on Misty Eyed Adventures

There you stood in front of me
Dressed in glory, white to see
Spell-bound on the deep blue skies
Created on high
Cold and warm, you set one's heart
'Cause you're the mighty one

Yep, love Misty Eyed Adventures too- the track 'Pilgrims Way' is one of the most haunting and beautiful songs I've heard...I like the Perfect Time album also.

Lol, not a believer and won't be. I'm currently in the 'ism' phase - there's eomthing out there but what it is is undefined for me at the moment. Maybe that will change in time.

And aside form the gas issue, we can still "feel" the wind which is also one of our 5 senses so that doesn't count. Sorry, not trying to burst any bubbles lol. Good for you that you believe. We all need (here it comes) something to believe in ;)

As for Moya albums....every album is good. Perfect Time and Whisper to the Wild Water are more akin to the whole Christian feel, but working your way up from Máire onwards is also a good idea. I ended up starting off with WTTWW and worked back from there...sort of.

My fav album ended up being Two Horizons, but before that saw the light of day Misty Eyed Adventures was my favourite because of the vibrancy and upbeat songs. Ofcourse, nothing mathces Against the Wind though... :D

Good luck with everything!

I think - 'Whisper to the Wild Waters' will be good for the start but also 'Perfect time' is good as well. Those two albums are full of open Christian message ;)

So for your first steps in faith "Follow the Word" can be a good anthem ;)

Anyway - keep reading God's Word and grow in your Christian community.

I will pray for you+

We can feel wind, but we cant see wind; yet we know wind is there only have to look at trees whos brances move. We know air is there, but we cant see air. It does take a while; but what about kids who are pronnouced dead, but then they start breathing? I didn't believ; but over time after someone explained wind; whilst you can feel wind, you cant see wind who's making wind, same with air, you can smell fresh air, but we cant see air; we believe it's there when you breath on window in winter. I know there is something is out there; because when someone passes away, we believe they go to a special place, where that place is is what we call heaven.
