It looks to be a recording of Moya's gig at the Avo Sessions in Basel - the date they quote is definitely right for it.

It was definitely recorded, and went out on Swiss TV. Unfortunately, my German isn't good enough to be able to work out whether the TV company released it as a DVD commercially.

I have to admit that a couple of things on that web page rings alarm bells. First off, I'm surprised they seem to have used the cover from Two Horizons on the disc. As far as I know, the Avo gig had nothing to do with a Two Horizons tour, it just happened to be about that time, and Moya used the opportunity to advertise!

The other thing that would concern me is that it mentions a DVD-R. Most commercial DVDs only have a region code, so a bit of me wonders what the mention of a recordable DVD is for? :S

Sorry if this seems negative, but I really don't want you to get caught out. They have a facility on the site to send them a message, so I'd get in touch with them to find out more, before you part with your hard earned cash!

Good luck!

I've never seen this site before, and it hasn't been tested by McAfee SiteAdvisor. This in combination with the fact that a DVD-R is mentioned has the bells ringing here too,it could be a bit dodgy. :)

I think it looks to good to be true.
Maybe in the near future Moya will bring out a DVD herself.

It does look dodgy. I'll pass the information to Moya's management for them to look into. Thanks for making us aware of this release :)

I've got a feeling that I heard about a dodgy DVD of that performance running around a while ago...I know the whole thing was avaliable on the internet for quite some time, so it's more than possible that it is an illegal thing. Personally I wouldn't risk it, tempting though I know it may be.

The official word from Moya's management is that the DVD is an illegal bootleg. They've now contacted the website. Please do not buy a copy.

Some years ago the AVO-Session was shown on German TV. I also recorded it for me because I wasn't at home that night.

I haven't watched it for years but if I remember right I didn't really like this show. Moya and band were brilliant as ever but the audience ... :( . They seemed to me posh and stiff - not real Moya and Clannad fans.
