Does anyone know where I can buy the Oro - A Live Session CD (2005) ?
Ebay doesn't have it! Marktplaats doesn't has it! German sites don't sell it!

I hope someone can help me out with this.

Welcome to the forum, Armand! :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but seems to be a very difficult CD to get hold of (it's one of the few albums of Moya's that I haven't got! :P), as it was released specifically for a tour Moya did a few years back. As far as I know, it never went on general release, which presumably means that there aren't all that many around!

I would imagine the likes of EBay would be your best bet, but it's very much a case of watching and hoping....!!!

As Dave says, this one is very, very hard to find. I've not seen it on Ebay for a good few years either. However, you can download one of the tracks, 'Éirigh Suas a Stóirín', on iTunes as a b-side to the 'No-One Talks' single.

Thank you for your welcome !

Thanks for your information. I thought it would be a hard nut to crack, so to speak.
I already own the tracks Oró & Against the Wind which are on: The Clannad Family Collection promo cd which came free with the Irish Sunday Independent newspaper back in 2005.
I also checked Ebay the last few years but never came across a copy. All we have to do is a little patience I guess.

I'm one of the lucky persons who have the CD. I bought it in September 2005 when Moya was on a special tour (I think just 3 concerts) in Lower Saxony (Germany). This was the only occasion to buy the CD. Three month later she was back in Germany with her Christmas Tour but there you couldn't buy the CD anymore. It was a very small edition. I love it very much.

The set list is ...
1. An Túll
2. Buachaill on Eirne
3. Alistair McColla
4. Oró
5. Ageless Messenger
6. Tunes (Mary of the Gaels, Roundabout, Father Francis Cameroon)
7. Perfect Time
8. A Mhuirnin Ó
9. Eirigh Suas a Stóirin
10. Dúalamán
11. Against the Wind

Susann, thanks for the cd tracklist.

Maybe it would be nice if Moya re-releases/re-issues the cd.
I wouldn't mind if it will be a cd-r/acetate cd in a plastic wallet/sleeve with no artwork at all to keep the production costs low.
I think many of us Moya fans would be happy to enjoy the songs from Oró.

Who knows ! Never say never.

That would be great! I would definitely buy it. I have also looked a lot for Oró but have never been able to find it. But if anyone would put it on Ebay I think the price would be very high! So a re-release would be the best thing! :D

I have a copy of Oro that someone from the forum burned on a CD and mailed me. Not sure who did that but am very thankful to have it! PM Me and I would be happy to email tracks to anyone who wants them. :D

I have a copy of Oro, but I think you will find it is no longer printed - in fact I think the last ones were avaliable in 2005...

If you like the live 'feel' though, try Heartstrings. That is definitely widely avaliable and was recorded live - also fantastic, although I admit the feeling is quite different to Oro

Thanks Grania,

Heart Strings is a really wonderful cd. I have played it about 50 times the last months.
Oró A Live Session i've got from Joshua as mp3.
To compare them is of course difficult. I also like Oró but Heart Strings is my most favourite Moya album.

It's hard to compare them since Oro was recorded live in the studio and Heart Strings was recorded at a show.

Yes, that's true of course

I know I'm digging up a very old thread here! But this topic is an enormous source of frustration to completist fans such as myself. If anyone would be kind enough to "assist" me in a way that will be obvious from the previous posts, I would LOVE to hear from you by email :) Thank you all... And to Maire for her beautiful soul and music. P.
