 Enjoy the album Barry! Personally I think it's one of the best I've ever bought...truly fantastic, and somehow it's got a real feeling of Donegal about it :D
Although unfortunately Gathering Mushrooms isn't on it... Next album please girls!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time, Grania! It must be so much fun to go to a T with the Maggies concert! :D

I agree. I am totally in love with the album and it has also become one of my favourites. I listen to it very often. I love the beautiful ballads (ballads are usually my favourites), but also the more uptempo songs. Farewell, Farewell is a definite favourite: so beautiful, a real "goosebumps" song. Another highlight for me is Thugamar Fhéin an Samhradh Linn. I could listen to that song all day, it is just so irresistibly cheerful. I looked up the lyrics on the internet and was very happy to find them! The title means: We have brought the Summer with us. Very appropriate, it is a very sunny song :D .

I also looked up the lyrics of Farewell, Farewell because I couldn't understand all of it, but when I found them I understood even less of the song  . There are several explanations about the meaning of this song but I still don't know what it means. Does anyone know?

Anyway, it is a great album and I am sure that many people here have it. What do you all think about it? Which songs are your favourites? I would love to read some more thoughts about this album! :D

Love,

Yvonne

Hi Grania, I'm glad you had such a wonderful night in Glasgow. Thanks for the article from The Herald Scotland. Bye the way, at the T with the Maggies concert at the Temple Bar TradFest 2009 there were just the four ladies on stage. This was also a fantastic concert - wonderful music and a lot of fun   .

It was quite something  I must admit, I wish I had video, but the sound quality on my camera for filming is awful :(

I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that I'm going! :P I went to an Irish Christmas gig there a couple of years ago - it's a gorgeous tiny venue (If I recall, Moya started by welcoming everyone to the "Séamus Ennis Club" - it really is that tiny!), so it should be quite a night! :D

Hope a few others can make it, too!

I wish I hadn't seen that.... :( No chance of going I don't think. Doubt I can afford it, plus my final report for my placement (basically my dissertation) is due the following Tuesday and although I have every intention of having it finished well before then, I think that might be pushing things a bit :( Also got the first re-enactment of the season on the Sunday and Monday, and I can no way afford to do both......girls, do a few more and I'll be there like a shot!

Sorry, G - I wasn't intending to rub it in! :( I'm sure there will be other opportunities soon enough.

This one has sprung up suddenly, and apparently out of nowhere, though, so I thought at the very least I ought to let people know!

Last week I received my copy of T with the Maggies and I must say i really like the music. But I have to try hard to recognize Moya's voice throughout the cd.
I do hope they will do some shows in Holland.

I bought the digital downloads for this album when it first became available. My favorite song is "Wedding Dress."
