@lizzy
but the order hasn't changed from the CD to ipod, right?

for mindless noise i could come up with some things: all the techno stuff i'm not listening to.

still no music here. but this morning i listened to alastair maccolla from òrò!

I think we al need some mindless noise from time to time... anyway, right now it's Karine Polwart, "Skater of the Surface". Anyone ever heard of her? She's big on the scots folk scene.

Just listening Loreena McKennitt - The Old Ways

The thundering waves are calling me home to you
The pounding sea is calling me home to you

On a dark new year's night
On the west coast of Clare
I heard your voice singing
Your eyes danced the song
Your hands played the tune
T'was a vision before me.

We left the music behind and the dance carried on
As we stole away to the seashore
We smelt the brine, felt the wind in our hair
And with sadness you paused.

Suddenly I knew that you'd have to go
My world was not yours, your eyes told me so
Yet it was there I felt the crossroads of time
And I wondered why.

As we cast our gaze on the tumbling sea
A vision came o'er me
Of thundering hooves and beating wings
In clouds above.

As you turned to go I heard you call my name,
You were like a bird in a cage spreading its wings to fly
"The old ways are lost," you sang as you flew
And I wondered why.

Great song!!!

Now i am listening Miriam Stockley - Perfect day

The rain has moved on
And left a new day
Nothing seems to move everything is still
It’s just a perfect day

The shadows and light
That move with the wind
Hidden violets grow splashed with summer spray
Just another perfect day

On the wild and misty hillside
Fear is nature’s warning
Hunger here is never far away

And all of this world
Is for children who play
Days that never end always should remain
Another perfect day

I just LOVE this song!!!!!Hmm...

This is my fave song (one of them!) as well, it's the title song of "Peter Rabbit" animation TV series!! I have also Miriam's second solo album "Second Nature" containing a great rendition of Sibelius' Finlandia (Be Still My Soul, but with different lyrics)!! Though the latter album isn't available outside USA/Japan at the moment... BTW Miriam is just working on a 3rd album at the moment!!

Yep, you can read some of the news from www.miriam.co.uk , her official site if you like, though the discussion place there became a bit of a spamming place and it's currently down...! Great that you also got the Second Nature album!!

Suvi (who has this year's Finnish Eurovision Song Contest Entry piece "Why" in my head right now so I don't need to listen to anything!)
