Time to report back to your captain! Tell me, what great loot have you found, my good and loyal crew?

Captain,
Mise, Maya, and I have found harps, beautful harps from a far country. They are magical harps, it seems -- if you play "Brian Boru's March" on one, it will always come out perfect!

 in that case Crewman Ogre - they must be magical!

Excellent work, my fine pirates! Take all below to our hold - what say you we be leanient this time and let these people keep their ship? After all, we have taken enough of good value from their cargo for three new ships of our own!

Yarrrrr, I reckon we should paint a big yellow "G" on the side of their boat, so we don't go and try to rob them again!

No sense wasting time robbing (newly) poor people.

Below decks now to celebrate, drink and sing! And I will personally ensure every man and woman get's their fare share - do not gamble it all away in one night!

Now that pegleg has finished his paint-job  - nice work Andy - I suggest all our musicians join the party and let us sing something in honour of the woman who was our leader!

Sé do bheatha! A bhean ba leanmhar!
B’e ár gceach tú bheith I ngéibhinn,
Do dhuiche bhrea I seilbh meirleach
‘S tú diolta leis na Gallaibh.

Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Anois ar theacht an tSamhraidh.

Tá Gráinne Mhaol ag teacht thar sáile,
Óglaigh armtha leí mar gharda;
Gaeil iad féin ‘s ní Gaill ná Spainnigh
‘S cuirfid ruaig ar Ghallaibh

Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Anois ar theacht an tSamhraidh.

A bhuí le Rí na bhfeart go bhfeiceam,
Muna mbeam beo ‘na dhiaidh ach seachtain,
Gráinne Mhaol agus míle gaiscíoch
Ag fógairt fáin ar Ghallaibh.

Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Oró! Sé do bheatha ‘bhaile!
Anios ar theacht an tSamhraidh.

Ye're all in fine voice this evenin'!!!!

It has come to my attention that ye are not all fluent in the Gaelic tongue - a situation we must fix with all haste! Will those that are please begin to teach those that aren't as soon as possible.

For now, here is the English lyrics for you

Welcome, O woman who was sorrowful
We were desolate while you were imprisoned.
Your lovely country in the hands of vandals
And you yourself – sold to the English.

Chorus:
Oró! welcome home
Oró! welcome home
Oró! welcome home
Would that the summer is here.

Gráinne Mhaol is coming over the sea,
With a guard of young soliders,
They are Irish, not English or Spanish
And they will rout the English

Chorus

Thanks be to God that I am seeing
(Even if I only live for a week after!)
Gráinne Mhaol and a thousand warriors
Announcing ruin on the English.

Yes...a note on the translation, it might be that 'English' is actually 'Strangers', there is some uncertainty - I just took it from the version I have.

In any case - if we are pirates does that not mean we have been outlawed by our societies?????

Any chance there are some Claddagh Rings among them? We'd be the most beautiful pirates of all oceans!
