Karl, on one of your photos is your dog, isn't he? I think I know the dog because I stayed some days in the old hostel in September 2003.

Hi Susann,

Yes, that's my dog "Gweedo"! We both lived at the old errigal hostel before it was pulled down. We probablly have met before then ?!

Karl.

Well, thought I should say Hello from Annagary. Thanks to Susann for the suggestion of Mary's B&B.

Been around today a bit, walking on Poison Glen, and popped in Leo's Tavern last night, off there again shortly. Had a good bit of a drive around generally enjoying the scenery.

I will find a space to put some of the many photos I have taken, so you can see where I been, if interested.

Thank you all for the nice comments. :)

Great photos Karl, especially the one of the Brocken Spectre,I've never seen one while climbing the Errigal.

Susann,I can only second you regarding Gweedore,I will be back there too, hopefully as many times as possible.

I'm looking forward to your photos Lawrence,Gweedore and the surrounding areas have a special place in my heart ,I can't get enough of it.Leo's might be a bit quiet during the week ,but you could be lucky and get involved in a sing-song,I've been there for a few nights during last weekend and had lots of fun, especially on Halloween. :)

Here’s an image of Dunlewey lough taken during the summer. It’s a little crudely stiched together, but an absolutely beautiful Donegal day.

Good job Karl,it's often quite hard to get a good panorama photo.A tripod can come in handy ,but can be awkward to carry around. :)

I've been in Donegal a few weeks ago and was lucky to get some nice weather. The combination of the latter and great craic in Leo's made it a great weekend.I didn't take too many photos, but the one below shows the area around Meenaleck and Ranafast. :)

Susann,I don't want to make you jealous but I'll be going back to Donegal this summer and probably again closer to the end of this year. It's just easier for me,living in Dublin, only a few hours away from Leo's and the surrounding area. :)

Thank you everyone for posting such fantastic photos; they are awesome.
Really hope one day I will be able to visit Donegal. It's been far too long since I've visited Ireland (and Donegal is a place I've yet to visit so any tips would be most welcome!). :D

In summer I will be in Ireland for 33 days  - 3 days Bangor, 1 day Ballycastle, 1 day Rathlin Island, 4 days north of Co. Sligo, 17 days Gweedore, 3 days Enniskillen and the last 4 days Dublin :D :D :D. I have been often in Ireland so I think I know a lot about my favourite country but of course you know much more. I would be very happy if you could give me some tips.
