I think I walked this forest Susan. It's mysterious and it's like ancient forest....
"Came upon on an ancient forest
A guided path that led me there
Walking through the mystic forest
The legend, tale of times gone by

Voices whisper in the black night
Reflection deep in wooded lands
A floating mist that circles shadows
A legend, tale of times gone by

Giant trees so full remind me
Of many years and ages past
Will they ever share the answer
Of legend, tales, and times gone by?

Walking through the mystic forest
I'm walking through the mystic forest"

I'll put some pictures from my trip soon, but firstly I need to choose some web site/programme like picasso or something where I could put my photos. It'll be difficult to pick pictures because I took almost 1000 photos in Gweedore during that weekend. Some of them around Poison Glen, some on Tory Islandand some in BunBeg beach. I always take plenty of it. I definitely go back there this summer at least once. Maybe I'll take some weekend in June :) I promised to send Bried a photo. I need to do it.

Well, having just started planning my trip to northwest Ireland next week, I am currently turning the original plan on its head, as I now know that Moya is playing in Galway on the 7th Nov.

I am now thinking of doing a bit up near coleraine as I have friends there. The head down through gweedore and area. Currently looking for b&b in the area, Brid Duggan's in Crolly or somewhere in Bunbeg. Any ideas that might help would be welcome?

And then head down to Galway for a couple of days and hopefully catch Moya at the Spirit of Voice Festival.

Yeah, I know this time of year is gonna be a bit wet and windy, but I am hardy and really needed a holiday.

Hi Lawrence, welcome to the forum!

Several of us have stayed at the Cara Na Mara in Bunbeg (3 of us from the forum were there only a couple of months ago!), and that was well worth it, but there are plenty out there!

Have a great trip. Donegal is an amazing place!

Hi Lawrence,

I think Coleraine is a good starting point to see the different sights at the Giants Causeway Coast. Maybe in November the area especially Giants Causeway is not as heavily touristed as in summer. If the weather is good I can recommend to walk along the Giants Causeway cliffs. The next interesting points are the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge and Dunluce Castle. From Coleraine to the western direction you can find the Mussenden Temple and Downhill House. And if you like to go by ferry to Inishowen you can use the ferry port at Magilligan Point about 15 km west of Downhill.

When I'm in Gweedore I stay in two B & B. One is the B & B from auntie Bríd and the other one is in Annagry. If you like I can give you the telephon number. Mary and Connie are really nice people. The house is only 3 km far from Leo's Tavern.

I hope I could help you.

Jusit I want to tell it for everybody:
in May we (my husband and I) will go to Ireland for 11 days.
We will travel around, and we will visit the most important: the Leo's :)Anybody knows in Leos is a live music on every day or just in weekend?

Hi Puha,

My experience is that in May live music is usually at the weekends. And Leo sings very seldom. At the Tavern they will give you the exact information.

When will you be there? I'm arriving Gweedore at the 25th May.

Maybe see you there.

Susann

(Oh, my favorit is Sally Garden, and I was in two Clannad concert for this, but not was SG - perhaps I hear it in Leos??? Ohh, I dont dare imagine it...)

Hi Puha,

As far as I know there's only live music on the Saturday in May,so it's most likely that you'll just miss it.

Only Saturday :(
I can organize it otherwise: we will be there on Sunday. But I have just this 2 chance. We will be under way the whole 11 days. So we can travel from south to north or from north to south. :(

puha, if you were in the area on a Monday night, you might be able to catch a session at the Hudi Beag in Bunbeg.

Puha,

Last year when I was in Bunbeg I was told there is a session every Monday night. Whether that has changed now, I can not say. 8)
