So happy!!!!!

Recently we've fixed the booking of our Donegal-holiday in June. Has anybody else of the forum also planned to be there in the first 2 weeks of June? Would be great if we could meet at Leo's!

Aw WOW- how exciting!!! I am so pleased for you! I'd love to say I'll be in Leo's in the first two weeks of june to meet up with you but unfortunately for me I think I'll only just be getting back from cambridge around that time... I'm sure there will be fistfulls of brennan fans about the place at that time of year tho, simi, do not despair!

Hi Balor,

I wish you a wonderful time in Ireland :). Hope the weather will be okay.

In four weeks I will be in Ireland again . Last weekend I was sitting on my sofa surrounded by a lot of maps and guidebooks about Ireland planning my trip while I was listening to Clannad and Moya.

Hi Susann,

The time is nice so far. The weather is tolerable, although there was a bit of hail over in East Belfast this morning. Hope your stay is enjoyable when you come.

Leo's was all right. It was kind of dead in there the first night. The second night was livelier with a wedding anniversary reunion of some folks from Holland who dropped into the pub. The third night was so-so. There was a session going on that night, but it didn't begin till late and I had to be on the road early the next morning. Shaun was working the bar.

I couldn't believe how small the stage was. I was told that this was not the stage Maire et al performed on as the pub was remodelled and expanded and that the original stage was smaller! Unbelievable! How did they all fit? Were they midgets when they were younger?

I didn't have a chance to meet Leo but I talked to Brid Duggan and I spent a night in old Duggans house :) It was amazing experience. I felt as If I was in heaven. First day it was 2 May when I arrived in Bun Beag I was taken by the owner of Crolly hostel to Leo's Tavern. I was so happy. Next day I was walking around Poison Glen and listening to Poison Glen. Before that on my way I met a guy who helped Moya and Bono with making "In a lifetime" video clip in 1986.He showed me the hill behind the house and private area when it was made. I went over the gate :) (hopefully) and tried to this the place but I think I didn't make it....Next day on Sunday I went to Tory Island and another miracle - I met one of the Duggans who was a painter. He sells his own pictures on the island. The Sunday night I spent in Duggans house and talked to Brid, Moyas aunt, who is such a lovely woman. Next morning I saw the school when Brennans used to go and then walked by the beach in Bun Beag. I'm wondering where is the boat from In a lifetime clip. Maybe in Bun Beag... On Friday I hopefully go to Killarney to see Clannad for the first time since 10 years when I started my journey with this amazing band....greeetings to all

Hi Piotr,

That sounds very good. I walked in the Poison Glen twice. And when I had a rest I was also listening to Clannad, especially to "Poison Glen". Last year I walked in Dunlewy Wood. Have you been there? It was like a fairy tale forest. I was thinking "Where are the leprechauns and elves?". I don't know how to explain right - please have a look at the pictures.

In June I will be 2 weeks in auntie Brìd's B & B. Last year I assembled a small cupboard for her kitchen. Bríd called it "the Susann press" . And when I left her she asked me when I will be back in 2008 .

The pictures are absolutely wonderful! Sooo beautiful. Thank you very much for sharing. A fairy-tale forest indeed! I'm sure some of the sídhe were hiding somewhere around, they just don't like to be seen, you know ;)
