Wow! I could not believe I was up 3:00 am last night while I read the poems you posted. Actually, I just glanced through them. The poems are very good but it was not I had in mind. Thanks for spending that much time on me. You are very nice

I understand what you mean and I don't care. Let's just go up to the net and shake hands. This is getting way out of hand. Remember I did not start this game. I will default the game if I have to and it will not look good for both of us. I understand people and games because I competed a lot.

Poetry again...

Postby Phantas » Tue Jul 27, 2004 1:06 pm

Alone

Alone
here I am
Alone
Alone inside a silver shell
with a ghost
speaking to me from within
dreaming away
suddenly I shake and shiver
ghost is leaving
and I am alone...
Alone again.
Here I am
alone
inside my silver shell
no harm will come
to me
and none to you
for I am here
inside my silver shell
and all alone
where you cannot see
the pain I cause to you in me...

Happy

Happy now,
I'm happy now
so long to sorrow
come again tomorrow
like the rain
here to ease the pain
playful and light
springs up at night
falls down at day
washes the stains away
until the sun will
shine again
and I am happy
to love you
and to have loved you
and you alone
forever.

*Ahem*, not exactly state-of-the-art poetry but something simple this time...

Love,
Phantas (yes, I am still around ;))

Being alone does not have to be sad. Sometime, it can enhance the imagination. Your poems have no joy in it.

hey there, garbo, i agree with you, but there's no need to be so harsh on our guest! it seems to me like this person doesn't have english as their first language, due to the way some of their opinions were phrased. perhaps they didn't mean to be so critical, but just didn't know any other way to express themselves?
personally, i agree with garbo, expressing yourself is a great , and there's no right or wrong way of doing it.
i liked your poems, phantas (who's still out there :wink: ) , i think you should keep em up!
love,
nq.
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.

Lost

Where is the voice
that can bend the straight road?
Where is the heart
that can lessen the load?
Where is the hand
that can heal by mere touch?
Where is that person
who can do only so much?

We are stronger than we know
we know more than we do
if we look into ourselves
we will find the truth

That we are children of the gods
imbued with powers of delight
to relieve us of the heavy blanket
of despair as dark as night

Where is the voice
I have searched for every day?
Where is the heart
that has made me follow this way?
Where is the hand
that once healed my every ache?
Where is the person
that can be witness to my wake?

We are no longer in control
of a world we do not own
we should listen to our hearts
messages on the wind blown

Deaf ears that cannot hear
the truth calling out at night
Where have you gone, great gods
that once guided us with light?

Phantas

Cool poem! Amazing. I think this is your best poem yet that you posted in this forum. It would be even better if it is made into a song and Moya sings it in the traditional style, maybe in Gaelic if it works. :P

The Lost Boys

A stone that feel
afrom the well
would once become a house;
In it would live
a man who gives
his love to a fine spouse;
that spouse would bare
sweet children there
who grew up to be fine sons;
And each of those boys
would have many toys
and grow up to be a fine bunch;
For each brother true
would feel so blue
when confronted with the thing called love;
And each brother kind
would his brothers mind
as they would place themselves above;
such a thing called family
and how ever could it be
that these men who called them brothers should
Be kin of them
who had grown to men
and kill each other would;
So the tale goes
of friend and foes
of the brothers there were none;
So the tale went
but the tale was bent
to come to an end, and be done.

Sorry for the bad grammar at times, all in good nature to make it rhyme...and I know the tale is short, and could be lengthened...but I didn't feel liek it right now. Feel free to play with this one btw, if you're feeling up to it ;)
